UML Chair Oli Advocates Leftist Unity, Emphasizes National Interest

Kathmandu: CPN (UML) Chairperson and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has underscored the imperative of unity among all leftist political factions in Nepal.

Addressing the launch of the 'Barista Rajnitigya Siddinath Gyawali Ismriti Grantha' (Senior Politician Siddinath Gyawali Memorial Book) at the party's headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur, Chairperson Oli called upon all left-wing and communist parties to unite under the CPN (UML) banner.

Expressing a commitment to prioritize the nation's welfare over partisan interests, Oli articulated his vision of developing the CPN (UML) into a national force of paramount significance.

He reiterated his party's commitment to advancing based on ideological clarity, organizational coherence, and prudent analysis and policies, rather than emotional impulses.

Reflecting on recent electoral victories, Oli interpreted the favorable by-election results as a precursor to the party's success in the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2084 BS. He pledged to realize the objectives of the party's 'Mission 84' campaign, aimed at securing a majority in the parliament.

In tribute to the late politician Siddinath Gyawali, Oli lauded his integrity, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to fostering positive societal change. Despite past disagreements, Oli acknowledged their enduring mutual respect and goodwill.

Meanwhile, CPN Unity National Campaign's Chairperson Bam Dev Gautam expressed his intent to align with the CPN (UML), citing ongoing self-assessment. Gautam emphasized his non-involvement in the division of the CPN (Communist Party of Nepal).

The event witnessed the presence of party Vice-Chairpersons Yuvraj Gyawali and Bishnu Prasad Poudel, alongside other party leaders and supporters, underscoring the significance of collective solidarity in advancing leftist principles and national interests.
